Introduction
To check at a glance whether a page is properly optimized by Fasterize, nothing could be simpler: use our dedicated browser extension!
It allows you to view the optimization status, analyze queries, test each rule independently, and gain autonomy in your diagnostics.
An essential tool for your acceptance testing phases, A/B testing, and communications with support.
1. Install the Fasterize extension
First, download the extension compatible with your browser:
⚠️ The extension only works on a site that is already connected to Fasterize, ideally in Discovery mode (test environment connected to our engine).
If you haven't already done so, contact your technical team or our support team.
2. Understanding optimization statuses
Once installed, the extension displays an icon in your browser bar. Its color changes depending on the status of the page you are visiting:
- 🟢 Green: the page is optimized and served from the Fasterize cache
- 🟠 Orange: the page is not optimized (cache disabled or page excluded)
Hover your mouse over the icon or open the Info tab for details.
Two handy buttons allow you to quickly compare versions:
- See optimized page: accelerated version
- See unoptimized page: version without any optimization

💡 The Fasterize extension is your revenue dashboard. With just one click, you can view the status and performance of a page.
3. Explore advanced features
“Info” tab: your overview

You will find the same statuses as those for icons, with pictograms and a more detailed description.
Ideal for quickly confirming whether the page is correctly optimized by Fasterize.
"Status" tab: technical analysis of the request
This tab provides you with a detailed view of the HTTP headers for the analyzed page.

Here are the main fields you need to know about:
• Request ID: unique identifier for the request (to be provided to support in case of problems)
• Cache-Control: HTTP cache directive (e.g., private no-cache)
• Page Type: page type detected by our engine (e.g., plp, pdp, hp)
• Target: rule applied to the page according to the configuration
• fstrz cookie: indicates whether optimization is active (true or false)
• fstrz_vary cookie: specifies the cache variation used
💡 Click on the 📋 icon to the right of each line to quickly copy the value.
"Testing" tab: test your optimizations in one click
This is where you can enable or disable each optimization rule individually.

For example:
- Disable
minify JSto see if this fixes a display issue - Cut
lazyload imagesto test a deferred loading case
Changes take effect immediately, without reloading the server-side configuration.
💡 An extremely useful feature for quickly isolating a problematic rule without having to rely on the administration interface.
“Enable Debug” button: for a complete diagnosis

Before contacting our support team, enable this option. It automatically injects more detailed logs into our systems, allowing us to analyze the page's behavior more accurately.
Conclusion
The Fasterize extension is the ideal ally for:
